Still Running Monthly Zine Update
February & March Editions!
My love for Zines have slowly overtaken my love for writing. I find in my free time that I much rather edit the next Zine & work on concepts rather than posting everything on social media.

If you’re interested in receiving a Zine or some stickers, send me some art! I’m looking for Pen Pals, people who love to receive traditional, physical art pieces. Send me something you’re working on, something you’re really proud of, or something your want to collaborate on, & I will send you Zines, stickers, & canvases for your contribution to my art collection. Send anything & everything you’re willing to part with to the following address

Surviving the winter has gone from running around outdoors to bunkering down inside of my house to avoid the blizzards. Although the weather is off-track, the Still Running Monthly zine project is still going strong!
I may haven’t posted in awhile, but I’ve been behind the scenes mastering the formats & process to make my zines. The February Zine was made possible with the help of my friend Humn who supplied me with a wide range of well-labeled pictures he took over the years. He gave me access to them awhile back & I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use them at first. A few months later I came up with the idea of using a bunch of old pictures for a whole zine when I was taking pictures of a writer, who passed away way too soon, who painted a floater on an underpass next to the Connecticut River. The way the ice was forming next to the letters made me hopeful that maybe some of our work may stand the test of time.

The whole point of Still Running is to outlast the buff & stand the test of time so other people can seek & enjoy the art. Taking a picture is a moment in time & helps keep the legacy alive. I send these magazines out to everyone who is interested. I hand them out for free or ship them for the cost of postage. For those who are willing to view the digital version, I upload them to a website Hey Zine so you can get the feeling of flipping through the pages. Check out February’s Zine here → Still Running Zine Issue #3
This website is awesome for zine collectors & makers. It gives you 5 free uploads & the sensation of flipping through the pages is unmatched digitally. Uploading PDFs is simple & can make any book digital.

Because the time truly got away from me this Winter, I even had time to drop my March Zine. This zine is hands down my favorite one so far! I got an exclusive Q & A with Soft 7 for this issue #4. I was able to ask him 3 burning questions that I had because his moniker is seriously dope & it travels! I even started seeing his double-sided candle stick popping up on Reddit & Miggity Moniker’s (Duel’s) IG posts!
The March Zine is focused on Monikers & the small symbols that represent things bigger than ourselves. The pictures are from a long collection of oil paints & aerosol markings that I collected over the last couple of months. It was super hard to format this one because the pictures are so small, but after a bunch of trial & error, I found something that worked! I was able to put his words over blank trains & make it look legit! He even supplied me with some exclusive pictures to go along with it! Pictures of Karso, Duel, the Solo Artist & more!
This zine came out to 8 pages front & back, but it was truly worth it to make something so special! My printer runs out of ink after about 5 copies. You can also check it out on Hey Zine here → Still Running Zine Issue #4

When I first started to get into zines I got a super cool Zine titled Boxcar Art Forever & was all in black & white. I got 3 different issues & each one made me super excited to get into the world of Monikers. I felt so inspired months later, this is my tribute to that. A few copies of the Zine in black & white & hopes that inspires someone else to get into the culture.

During the recent release of the February Zine I had a few collaboration offers & I figured it would be a great opportunity to connect with others & flood the world with art! I always try to send stickers with any zine to give a bit of added details to every package.
I seen fellow substacker & artist, Artefai, using QR codes as a way to spread a poem that was written about their work, properly titled “Finding Art in the Wild”. I loved everything about it from the poem, to the QR codes, to the distribution of the stickers around the city! It was such an awesome concept that I commented on the post. Check out the original poem here ←
Artefai responded back suggested we should do some type of collaboration & that’s when we started plotting on how we can make art together, even though there is an ocean separating us. I’ve seen artists stick two of the 228 Labels together to give themselves extra space to work on & I thought it would be cool to see our artworks next to each other. Artefai suggested sending unfinished work so we can add some of our flavor & style to each other’s work! I sent out the package a few days later after some minor issues at the Post Office. I was completely unaware that U.S. Customs said Magazines are flagged when shipping internationally because of obscene images & lewd language. Who would have thought someone would ship obscene images?!
The tenant at the register said you can pay the money for shipping but if it gets sent back, I won’t be entitled to a refund. I knew I had to risk it for the sake of art! Thankfully the package landed safely. Check out some of our collabs & Artefai’s other amazing work here → Artefai
What kind of person would I be if I didn’t supply some train pictures? The dessert to any post

Peace & Love from the 413

I thoroughly enjoyed the flip zine. It's such a fun way to experience the work. I also follow Artefai and loved seeing that collaboration unfold. One of my favorite discoveries on Substack has been the creative collaborations happening between artists. Your art exchange idea is fantastic. I’ll definitely keep that in mind!
